Johannes brings experience gained from holding managerial positions within the energy and mining sectors. He has held executive roles in private and public junior oil and gas exploration companies in Canada, US and China, as well as in junior mining exploration firms with operations in Chile, China, Mexico, Mongolia and the US. Johannes was a founder of Reflection Oil & Gas Partners, a CBM explorer in the PRC and Century Petroleum, a US-based conventional oil and gas explorer.

Johannes started his professional career working for the Peruvian Securities and Exchange Commission. He holds a BSc in Economics from Universidad del Pacifico in Peru and an MBA from the London Business School.
